Chad Basin The Chad Basin is the largest eendothermic drainage basin in Africa, centered on Lake Chad. It has no outlet to the sea and contains large areas of desert or semi-arid savanna. There was a sea much longer ago that affected the Chad basin and it was call the Mega-Chad. The Chad basin affects the people in Africa in many ways. The Chad Basin expanse over 7 different countries. There are many dams on the Chad basin. The chad basin also increases irrigation in all of the seven countries it affects .
Atlas Mountains The Atlas Mountains are 2,500 killo meters across northwestern Africa, spanning Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, separating the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastline from the Sahara Desert. Actually a series of mountain ranges with diverse terrain, climates and wildlife, the Atlas are dotted with Berber villages and riven with canyons and ravines. The highest peak is 4,167 meters tall. This mountain is so long and tall it divides people that might want to get to each other that are on each side of the mountain.

Cuanza River The Caunza River is 600 mi longs. The Caunza River empties into the Atlantic ocean. The Caunza River so far that we have found has 50 different speiceis of fish in it. Gamtoos River The Gamtoos river is in the Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. The River is 645km long with an area of 34,635 km. This River system is formed from the Groot, Kouga, and the Baviaanskloof River. The Gamtoos River affects people from Africa in a couple ways. This river provides water for irrigration of growing food to keep or to sell for them self. There is one dam in Kouga that is put in the Gamtoos River.

Finding gold in Africa changed South Africa from being agriculture into the largest gold producer in the world. Gold increaseed the trade from South Africa to everyone in the world. The first time they found gold there was a huge gold rush to where all the gold was. Where ever they found gold they would make a town there for all the miners that went to mine there.
Africa leads the world in production of cocoa beans. Africa supplies 70% of cocoa beans around the world. Africa leading production at 1.65 million tonnes. This is a huge resource for Africa to make money and to give them jobs. This is how cocoa beans help Africa.
The people in the Ivory Coast and Ghana create 70% of the worlds cocoa beans. Creates trade for the people. It forms there culture of where they work. This gives them a huge amount of employment and good income from trading to other countries.
